Starting as a tinner in his father’s shop Jason King has learned every level of the HVAC and Controls trade, he now utilizes the skills he has learned over the years to operate at the highest level of the building automation field. Jason is certified to work on several lines such as ABB CXPro, KMC, Distech, Johnson and Siemens to name a few, this combined with his acquisition of Niagara Developer certificates allows him to not only work on any system the team may run into but also develop code for the Niagara platform, allowing our team to adapt to ever evolving challenges.

With over four decades of technical experience, Tom Thompson brings a great deal of experience to our team. Whether it be his time as a business owner, Senior technical support or trainer for a major international controls organization, Tom’s skill set ensures our team in the field can always find the answers they need to keep our jobs moving and completed with the highest level of technical capability. Furthermore, Tom’s ability as an application engineer has allowed us to round out our team to finally bring full-service capabilities to our team, with installation, programming, service, and now in-house engineering capabilities.

Starting in the commercial HVAC trade, Elijah worked his way through a mechanical apprenticeship while taking advantage of opportunities to learn the controls trade with the mechanical outfit he was employed with. Now with six years in the industry, certifications in controls platforms such as Niagara, Johnson and Distech he has moved into a role to better serve our customers by understanding their needs on a technical level and providing pricing and solutions that best fit their situation.

Isaiah began working with the company in his junior year of college on our earliest projects. He has since graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado and quickly grown into a very adept installer serving as one of our Install Project leads. Isaiah has managed some of our larger jobs to date from Biomedical facilities and Data Centers to new facilities for government organizations. Isaiah excels in precision work and efficient communication with contractors and customers to provide an excellent and timely product.

Starting his technical career as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the US Navy, Josh has since spent 20 years in the industry learning the trade and building relationships in the Denver and Northern Colorado area. Certified to work on Distech, Johnson and ABB CXPro, Josh excels as a technician at troubleshooting problems for existing systems and evaluating the functionality of systems that are being installed. Josh brings his years of experience to the table when serving our customers by finding timely and effective solutions to our problems.

Joining UCS after a stint as a startup tech for Trane, Michael has a strong mechanical and technical talent combined with extensive knowledge of Trane equipment specifically he has quickly adapted to the controls industry becoming a strong technician both on a service call and a construction site. Assisting our installers with additional technical support Michael has been able to address concerns with engineering and design before the point of work needing to be redone is reached on several occasions. Michael's natural technical skill and excellent customer relations abilities allow him serve our customers in a way that they are able to concisely understand.

Coming to UCS with over 25 years of experience in the data communications and low voltage industry Jason Procaccini has elevated the level of our work on new projects in many ways, by introducing best practices for cable installation, organization of projects and leveraging his years of experience every day in the field to train our new installers Jason has greatly added to the level of quality that we turn over to customers in relation to the physical installation of our projects.

The most recent addition to UCS, Lucas is eager to learn the trade, assisting our installers and service technicians alike. Growing up working around the automotive industry with his father Lucas has a solid mechanical foundation that he only continues to grow here at UCS. Lucas’ eagerness to learn every aspect of the trade and desire to deliver quality work for our customers has allowed him to begin growing into an excellent controls installer.

Tatum is UCS’s newest office admin and is working hard to help keep UCS running behind the scenes. Implementing her ServiceTitan knowledge, Tatum is organizing everything from project proposals to booking and dispatch as well as general bookkeeping. With a background in design, Tatum has also created important marketing materials like presentations and resumes to paint UCS in the best light.

Karl comes to UCS with 10 years in building automation, gaining 9 years of experience at ABB/Cylon/AAM working as tech support, a trainer, and as tech services.  He is certified in Kode Labs and N4 Certified, bringing even more expertise to UCS. Karl is a great software developer, and he is a valuable employee that rounds out our team.

Joining the team in early 2024, Faith is experienced in 3D graphics, taking various classes to further her skills. She has successfully built and deployed 3D graphics on several of our sites such as Highlands Place, Landmark Medical Plaza, Laika Studios, Zing Credic Union, and many others. Currently working towards her Niagra 4 certification and acting as admin support within the office she is constantly working to further her skills and career for herself and the team.  

While relatively new to the world of Controls, Austin brings a variety of skills from his background in Information Technology and Networking. This strong foundation in computer systems and programming has allowed him to quickly pick up development, while also allowing him to bridge the gap between controls and the networks they reside on. Austin’s drive to learn and integrate everything he can within his toolsets has enabled him to refine and implement quality user experiences.

After a stint raising a family, Misty has re-entered the workforce to help run this company. Her keen eye and organization keep the team running smoothly and efficiently.

With over three decades spent between the commercial HVAC and controls worlds, David founded UCS in the fall of 2021. With his years of experience as an installer, technician, programmer, and project manager, he has leveraged these skills to quickly grow UCS into successful outfit capable of providing technical capabilities on par with the best the Colorado market and beyond has to offer. David has leveraged his time spent in the field to build a business model that values responsiveness to customer needs as a top priority, an area he has felt that the industry has greatly lacked at times.
