Our mission at Universal Controls Solution is to be our customers' one and only solution to all their controls and building-automation needs. With over a century of combined HVAC and controls experience, UCS strives to deliver quality project management, application, engineering, and controls programming — making sure our customers have systems that are maintained and operating at peak performance.
UCS believes our customers should always be placed first, so that we can better serve their wants, needs, and goals.
Our History
Founded in the fall of 2021, Universal Controls Solution started with the idea to train and support a top-of-the-line controls team to best serve customers in the Northern Colorado area. Since our founding, UCS has quickly grown into an organization capable of meeting and exceeding the technical and service standards set by industry leaders.
With an equally rapidly growing team, we serve a wide range of customer needs on projects of all sizes and scopes — working nationally and internationally, with new pursuits in Europe on the horizon.

We're vendor-flexible across platforms and manufacturers. The list below is a sample of what we work with — not a limit. Don't see your system? It's almost certainly something our team can support. We currently represent ABB Cylon, Honeywell, and Johnson Controls Facility Explorer (FX).
Our brand-agnostic capabilities let us service and integrate whatever systems a facility already runs — a key reason CCSD trusts us across their campuses.

Meet the founders
The husband-and-wife team behind Universal Controls Solution — backed by a crew with over a century of combined HVAC and building-controls experience.
David Jonas
With over three decades between the commercial HVAC and controls worlds, David co-founded UCS in the fall of 2021. Drawing on his experience as an installer, technician, programmer, and project manager, he has grown UCS into an outfit capable of technical work on par with the best in the Colorado market and beyond — built on a model that puts responsiveness to customer needs first.
Misty Jonas
Misty co-founded UCS and runs the company day to day, keeping the team running smoothly and efficiently. Her keen eye for organization and operations ensures projects move from proposal to completion without missing a beat.
