Universal Controls Solution ("UCS," "we," "us") operates the website at uniconllc.net. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Information we collect automatically

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects aggregate, non-identifying information such as: your approximate location (city/region, derived from your IP address), device and browser type, the pages you view and how long you stay, and the source that referred you (for example, a search engine or LinkedIn). We do not use this to identify you personally.

Cookies and your consent

Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Decline," no analytics cookies are placed and Google Analytics stays off. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies/site data in your browser, which will bring the banner back. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings.

How we use the information

We use this information solely to measure site traffic, understand which content is useful, and improve our website and services. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Our analytics are provided by Google. Information collected through Google Analytics is handled under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We have enabled IP anonymization and Google Consent Mode so analytics only run with your permission.

Forms you submit

If you request a quote, contact us, or report an incident through the site, you provide details such as your name, email, and message so we can respond. We use that information only to reply to and follow up on your request.

Your choices and California rights

You can decline analytics cookies at any time as described above. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

Forum accounts and posts

If you create an account on our community forum, we collect the information you provide at sign-up — your email address and the display name you choose — along with a hashed password (we never store your password in readable form) and technical information such as your IP address and sign-in timestamps, which we use for security and abuse prevention. You may optionally add a role or short profile description; anything you put there is public.

The forum is public. Threads, replies, votes, your display name and anything you include in a post are visible to anyone on the internet and can be indexed by search engines. Please do not post personal details, customer information or anything site-identifying — see our Forum Terms of Use.

We use your email address to send account email — sign-up confirmation, password resets, and notifications about replies to your posts. You can turn notification email off in your account settings; account and security email cannot be turned off while your account is open. Forum email is sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES).

Our forum runs on Supabase, which hosts the database and handles authentication on our behalf. Your account information and posts are stored there under our control. Both Supabase and AWS act as processors for us and are bound to protect the data.

Deleting your forum account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing contact@uniconllc.net. We will remove your profile and personal details. Posts you left in existing discussions may remain so that threads still make sense to other readers, but they will no longer be linked to your profile — if you need a specific post removed as well, tell us and we will consider it. We keep limited records where we have to, for example to prevent abuse or to meet a legal obligation.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (by default, up to 14 months) and then automatically deleted. Information you send via forms is kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
